I heard this on the news last night and again this morning and it just shocked me that people would take advantage of good Samaritans. This happened in Raleigh a few days ago.
Two women and a girl were driving home from mid-night bowling, when they noticed a man laying in the road. The women made a U-turn to go help the man. As their car got closer to the man and they started to slow down, the man got up and started running towards their car. This is when they also noticed two other men running towards their car. Luckily they were able to pull away before the men got to their car.
The ladies called the police, but by the time the police got there, the men were gone. The police said that you should NEVER stop to help someone. If you think someone needs help, you should call the police instead.
It is so sad that this is what our world is becoming. It is not even safe to try to help out another person, without fear that they may try to hurt you.
